A wreath honoring Delmar Watson was erected over his family’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Watson, who died last Sunday at home in Glendale of complications from prostate cancer, was 82. The distinguished photographer and archivist had been a child actor, one of nine siblings from “The First Family of Hollywood” who between them appeared in over 1,000 movies. NOTE: There will be a memorial gathering for Delmar Watson this Sunday, November 2 at 3 p.m. at the Hollywood Heritage Musuem, 2100 N. Highland Avenue, Hollywood (across from the Hollywood Bowl. All fans of Delmar’s are welcome.

Delmar Watson, child actor turned news photographer, dies at 82



Delmar and his eight siblings acted in more than 1,000 films. He went to work for the L.A. Mirror in 1948 and later opened an archive of historical L.A. photos.
