James Bacon, the longtime syndicated Hollywood columnist and reporter whose career covering the film capital began in the late 1940s with the Associated Press, has died. He was 96.

    Still another “Bit of Hollywood” was lost with the passing of James Bacon. I enjoyed reading his books, as he told stories like one had never heard before. Thanks James for all the years of passing on the info to us. God bless the Bacon Family.
