Happy Birthday Hugh, what a wonderful legacy you left us with “Leave it to Beaver”. My family and I watch at least 3 times a week, and have season 1 and 2 on DVD. Your wisdom helped me with many situations that arose with my children when they were growing up. The whole show was classic. We thank you Mr. Beaumont for your great talent. Also to the entire LITB cast. Wonder why they never did a Christmas show episode? Anyone?
Where was Hugh’s summer retreat in Minnesota?
I am trying to find out the exact town JMO. I live in Mn and heard of at least 4 places. I want to be sure, so check back on this post. All I know for sure, is He did live out his last few years here in the land of 10,000 Lakes and puddles.
I won’t give the exact location, but let’s just say he owned an island on a lake in Itasca Co.
Thanks FishinMagician. I have heard that one too. L of the W’s to be exact without telling the address is hardly giving the location away. It is a vast area of lakes and islands and impossible to locate some one living there now, much less some one who has died and not lived there for years. Did you know Mr. Beaumont?
Location of Mr. Beaumont’s retreat was an island on Lake Wabana near Grand Rapids, MN. He also operated a Christmas tree farm near there.
