ah, gypsy rose lipshitz (as she was known in my home)…..do love her. oh how i wish her old TV talk show were available to buy. i did see two episodes at the TV museum in NYC. her & merman…it was terrific. been looking forward to the HBO movie with sigourney weaver, based on gyp’s son’s excellent book.
Gypsy Rose Lee was artisticaly gifted in her diversified activities. She will always be remembered for her contribution in the world of entertainment.
“Gypsy” is one of my favorite musicals (not just because I got to play Mazeppa–though that doesn’t hurt).
Did you see that the Patti LuPone production may be coming to London’s West End?
My new book “Lady of Burlesque – The Career of Gypsy Rose Lee” is currently available to pre-order on Amazon.com
This is a photo-filled chronological account of Gypsy’s entire career.
My first book “Miss Peggy Lee: A Career Chronicle” can also be ordered on Amazon.com
Both are published by McFarland. The top publisher of reference books in the US.
Sincere-Lee,
