NEW YORK (AP) — Comic actor Dave Madden, who played the child-hating agent on the hit 1970s sitcom The Partridge Family, died in Florida on Thursday at age 82.

    I am very surprised that the Hollywood Reporter would refer to David Cassidy as Shirley Jones’ “real-life son”! Cassidy was Jones’ stepson; his father Jack Cassidy married Shirley after divorcing David’s mother, Evelyn Ward.

    Sheesh, Hollywood Reporter! C’mon, get accurate!
