May the beautiful and talented Dana Wynter now rest in God’s peace. Two of the most memorable 1950’s science-fiction movies were released in early 1956. Invasion of the Body Snatchers, with the stunning Miss Wynter, was released on February 5, 1956; and Forbidden Planet was released about five weeks later on March 15. It is an intriguing coincidence 56 to 57 years later that the four romantic leads of those two movies have all died within just the last eight months. Miss Wynter’s love interest in Invasion of the Body Snatchers was portrayed by Kevin McCarthy who died on September 11, 2010; and the romantic leads of Forbidden Planet, Leslie Nielsen and Anne Francis, died on November 28, 2010 and on January 2, 2011, respectively. Hmm. . . . Is it merely an earthly coincidence? 😮
