At my 91 years of age, I remember with many thanks how for several years in early & mid 1960s, Cecelia made generous contributions to help Little League baseball players at the Van Nuys-Reseda Fields.
My son, now 63 years of age, is just one of countless young boys who became successful and responsible adults because of their basic training afforded in
Community activities.
Thank you Mrs. Harper who was so kind in sharing and caring.

Two years ago this post displayed the photo referenced above, which was captioned, “Cecelia, an excellent equestrian ….”
The photo was of Cecelia riding side saddle on what was clearly an American Saddlebred horse. At the time I found it I shared the link with a friend who is a Saddlebred trainer. I would like to share it again, but now the photo is gone. Just thought you should know this wonderful photo, which has significance for horse people as well as movie people, is missing. Hopefully you will put it back to be appreciated again. Thanks!
Photo restored. Thanks.
My late boss , Josephine Thomas Gardner , the daughter of George C.Thomas the philanthropist and golf architect was Cecilia’s lifelong best friend .
They both rode and back in the early years growing up in Beverly Hills would ride down Sunset Blvd.
I wish I had pictures of Josephine in similar dress but those went to her grandchildren.
Josephine was the godmother of Cecilia Presley and her brother.
She spoke of sleeping on the DeMile porch on summer evenings and her fondness for the family .
